Michelle Obama's $50,000 Lingerie Stimulus Package

It's not the best time for Mrs. Obama to get caught in her knickers -- knickers as in fancy shmancy lingerie -- $50,000 dollars worth in one shopping spree. Now that's a stimulus package. Wow. Her budget for panties and bras would pay off my small business debt. I read the article to my hubby and he took a renewed interest in the first lady.

It was reported that New York closed down a section of Madison Avenue while First Lady, Michelle Obama and Queen of Qatar, Sheikha Mozah, shopped the high-end lingerie store -- Agent Provocateur -- provocative to be sure. The store advertises to have the "sexiest lingerie in the world". I've never heard of this exclusive store, but I've done my homework to keep abreast of the first lady's bra and pantie preferences.

The website for this lingerie sells $200 bras, $1500 corsets and $100 pasties. Yep, that's what I said, pasties -- those are little, very little in the way of a bra, as it only covers the nipples -- pasted on I presume. The online website has a model posed with horse halters, reins and a nice little whip. Now I'm all for keepin' the sex alive in your marriage, but not for $50,000.

No wonder they want to raise taxes. This must be the President's $50,000 stimulus.

  1. She's just spending while she can since her man is going to be out of the office soon! It's called shop til you drop!

    1. Oh you're right--love it, you made me laugh -- that was the perfect line!

  2. The store Agent Provocateur figures prominently in the books by Hester Browne, especially The Little Lady Agency books; which are some of the wittiest (and cleanest) romantic comedy books to come out in recent years. I'd like to know what the difference is between a $20 bra and a $200 bra. Honestly, I've never like Mrs. Obama, who comes across to me like a snooty rich snob, and acts like the world owes her a living. YUCK!

  3. So how does this work? When black girls want to look, you know, extra sexy, do they wear white under garments?
I'm just teasing, of course; I think the 1st-Lady should wear whatever she wants; and if they can afford $50k for sexy unmentionables (black, white, pink or purple)--that's free enterprise.
However, its a bit unfair for her hubby to demonize the wealthy class, when the Obama family will ever after be members of the wealthy elite; that is, the top 10% of revenue earners, who already pay 60% of the nations taxes; unless they go "from shirtsleeves to shirtsleeves, in one generation," which happens to some folks, who come into easy money.
The Romney family is said to be very "fiscally conservative," except when it come to making charitable donations, where their largess is impressive.

  4. Oh for Pete's sake! Nobody is worth shutting down a whole avenue in New York City. That's just plain sick. She should have checked with me. Penny's was having a sale at the mall the other day.

    1. I've picked up some great buys at Walmart and Target -- after all, they're only for the bedroom :)

  7. Oh, my, guess I've wandered into a rabid repub's blog. Your comments about the President's wife Michele is mean-spirited and oh, what comments could be made about the wives of Newt, etc. Obama is going to win, so stick that in your Postum cup!

    1. Humor me, I complimented her on keeping her marriage happy, just not at the cost of $50,000, when Americans are out of work. The Obama's are to be complimented for their marriage and family values. I am a Romney fan and was glad to find that he and his wife gave 16% to charity. Obamas -- 2% to charity. Your words appear to be the mean-spirited ones --"rabid", "stick that in your"

I'm afraid that Postum has been off the market for years.
